Most property owners wait until fall to put their short term rental properties on the market so that they can take advantage of the income they can make during the summer months. And even if they have it on the market during the busy season, they are not as likely to negotiate on price. You can also now get in to see the properties easier, as they are not being rented as heavily. Buying now will also give you time to do any renovating you might want to do before “the season” starts and find a property management company that you will be happy with.
